Doyles Room Review
Doyles Room is the poker room of poker legend Doyle ‘Texas Dolly’ Brunson who has won ten WSOP bracelets. Since Doyles Room launched in 2004 it has had great success and is now on the Cake Poker Network meaning it is one of the best poker rooms available to US poker players.
In my opinion Doyles Room is by far the best poker on the Cake network and there is millions guaranteed at the site every month, including the weekly $250k Guarantee tournament. As well as all of this, you will have the opportunity to play against Doyle Brunson, Mike Caro, Todd Brunson and even the new ‘Brunson 10’ team which includes some of the best young poker players in the world such as Chris Moorman and Dani Stern.
Software
As mentioned, Doyles Room is on the Cake Poker Network and use their software so you can be certain of a stable and reliable poker client. After downloading the Doyles Room software and registering your details, you will be prompted to enter a username by which other players will know you as, as well as choose from a variety of characters. The Doyles Room lobby provides all the vital information you need when choosing which table to play at including the viewed-flop percentage, average pot size, hands per hour, and a list of the players seated at each table. Once seated at the table you will have various features available such as a ‘notes’ function which lets you colour code each player, and there is also a promotions tab which keeps you updated on the latest promotions available.

Game Variety
One of the biggest drawbacks I have about Doyles Room is the game variety – there isn’t much of a variety at all. As well as offering Texas Hold’em and Omaha, Doyles Room also offer Omaha Hi-Lo and despite having tabs for 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo, there never seems to be any tables available at these games. Despite offering these games, almost all of the action is at the Hold’em tables with just some at the Omaha tables. I have found myself waiting hours for an opponent at the low stakes Omaha Hi-Lo tables, but if you are mainly a Hold’em player you will love Doyles Room. The stakes range from $0.02/$0.4 to the high stakes tables which have blinds of $500/$1000. There are also Pro tables which begin at the $5/$10 limits and offer you the chance to play against Doyle Brunson and the other featured professionals at the site.
Tournaments
Doyles Room offer millions in guaranteed prize money every month and offer special tournaments such as their weekly $50k Bounty Tournament. In this tournament you can play against Doyle Brunson, Mike Caro and Hoyt Hopkins and knock them out to for your chance to win up to $50,000, or knock out Doyle Brunson in this tournament with the hand 10-2 and you will win $5000! The biggest weekly tournament at Doyles Room is their $125k Guaranteed which takes place every Sunday and has a buy-in of $150+$12. This tournament changes to a $250k Guarantee once per month which has a buy-in of $250+$18 and takes place on the last Sunday of every month. There is also lots of freerolls and satellite tournaments available at Doyles Room so you are never short of tournament options no matter what size of bankroll you have.
Soft Competition
Thanks to Doyles Room being on the Cake Poker Network you will be playing against players from other skins on the network. The Cake Network is notorious for having the easiest online poker games and it is certainly no different when playing at Doyles Room. You can find easy opponents right up to the $2/$4 limits, but after that the competition does get trickier, especially at the $5/$10 tables where the pros regularly play. At the low stakes games you will find tables with viewed-flop percentages as high as 70% so there are plenty of fish to take advantage of at Doyles Room.

The support at Doyles Room is very good and they offer e-mail, telephone and even live chat support so you will have no trouble getting a quick response. Live chat is one of the best options available, and e-mail response times can vary from a few minutes to a few hours, but overall the support is exceptional.
